This past Sunday I had a nice Engagement Session with Taylor Sanders and Kayle Tynes. I haven't had an opportunity to look through all of the photos yet, but I still wanted to share this image today as I really thought it captured Taylor and Kayle well. There are more to come ...
Last Friday I had another outstanding senior portrait session, this time with Cassandra Matherne. This shoot was a lot of fun, and we were able to capture both the fun, tom-boy side of Cassandra, as well as her feminine beauty.
I think my favorite image of those in this collage is the one at the bottom left, with her in the teal dress leaning on the old painted wall. There were so many good shots from this shoot, it is hard to decide. There are several more great images from this shoot, including my favorite, but I am saving those for the proofing session. ;)
A couple of Saturdays ago I had a senior portrait session with Cody Hill, a senior at Marshall County High School. Let me just say this, CODY HILL IS AWESOME! (Total inside joke - find Tammy Hill and she'll tell you the back story!)
The Lord has really blessed me with some great seniors to shoot so far, and Cody was no different. I was a little nervous about this shoot, as it had rained a lot the night before, and we were scheduled to begin early in the morning when the sun was just right in the sky. It was a bit of a slow start due to all the water outside, but after we rectified that the shoot went off magnificently.
Perfect weather, perfect light from the sky, and outstanding backgrounds all make for great shots, but a good subject can compensate for a lot of other problems. Cody surprised me - I thought he would be a good subject, but this young man has an infectious smile and great humor that made my job easy.
The proofing session for Cody and his parents, Tom and Tammy Hill is this upcoming week, but I wanted to go ahead and give a small preview of the shoot beforehand.

If you see Cody out and about, why not give him a shout out and let him know how well he did. Oh, you might raz him a bit and tell him, "Cody Hill is AWESOME!" while you're at it. :)
Remember, if you want a Senior Portrait Session for the fall of 2014, now is the time to book it. I have limited openings, and the slots will fill up fast.
I was first alerted to Jeremy Sargent through photographyblogger.net, which shows 20 stunning black and white images like the one below:
Imagine my surprise when I found out there was more to Jeremy Sargent that black and whites! His landscape and nature work is fantastic, as is his portrait photography. Jeremy is much worth checking out.
You can find Jeremy on Twitter and Facebook.
